day BCCI and Saurav gangly updated about the mega auction of the IPL edition
2021. BCCI made a ruled to conduct the mega auction every three years. In
the IPL 2021 auction, there will be a change in rules regarding the mini and mega
auction. First of all, I will clear you about, what is a mega auction?
What is Mega Auction?
Every three years, there will be a mega auction to
rebuilt a new team. Generally, the team like CSK and MI doesn’t change their full
team, so the weak team doesn’t enough chance to make their team. So the BBCI
made a ruled to conduct a mega auction every three years. Last time in the
mega auction of IPL 2018 each team can retain three players but now in this IPL
auction news rules are made regarding the auction.
What is an RTM card?
RTM card is the card that can be used to buy a player to
retain in their team. These cards play a vital role to retain the same player
in the team. There is also a big update regarding the use of RTM card in the
IPL auction of 2021.
Rules of Mini Auction in 2021 IPL
If it isn’t possible to conduct the mega auction then there
will be the mini-auction and the rules of mini-auction are mention below:
- - One team should release 7 players including 5
Indian + 2 overseas
- - Only 18 players can be retained among 25 players.
Rules of Mega Auction in IPL 2021
- - Each team should release 22 players among 25
players.
- - Each team can retain 3 players only. Among 3
players 2 should be Indian and 1 should be overseas. And among 2 Indians player
1 should be capped and one should be uncapped.
- - While using the RTM card each team can use 2 times
and while 2 times 1 player should be Indian and 1 should be overseas.
